The Pdac's match group's brave start to the national Angling Times Super Cup event, came to an end at the very begining in the 1st round against Dorking AS.
The 6-man squad, representing the club for the first time in any form of national competitions, made a valiant effort to beat a strong Dorking side that has entered many national & club events over the years.
Dorking AS were hosts and therefore had choice of venue…Orchid Place Farm Fisheries in Kent, a venue that Dorking fish regularly and Petersfield had only fished once before, the previous week.
The conditions were very difficult with strong Easterly winds which were very cold, & a combination of sunny spells, rain, & hail all put play to the team’s tactics and Sadly the team didn't make it, but it was close with only 2 points between the teams.
