🎣 JCC Junior League Series – Round 3
Saturday 22nd August saw the eagerly awaited return of the JCC Junior League Series, following a run of postponed events due to the weather.
Harting Combe hosted Round 3, with eight juniors taking to the bank. The fishing certainly wasn’t as expected, with not a Bream showing, and the youngsters having to work extremely hard for every fish. A few Tench and plenty of silvers were caught throughout the field.
Joseph Jones made the perfect start, landing a good-sized Tench with his very first cast! đź‘Ź
Teddy Threadingham Grier opted to concentrate on the silvers and put together a fantastic bag of 5lb 6oz, securing second place.
Oscar Jones switched methods during the match, landing a couple of Tench alongside a good weight of silvers. His combined catch of 6lb 2oz was enough to take top spot! 🏆
Well done to all eight juniors who fished incredibly hard in challenging conditions, and a big thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible.
The next event will be the Junior Open sheduled for Sunday 30th August at Nyewood Ponds.
