Junior Inter-club event, Sat 21st June. GAS vs PDAC - Richardsons, Marsh Farm.
The order of the day, with the heat, was to remain hydrated, plenty of sunblock, sit in the shade and bag a few fish.
It was a hard day for our juniors competing against Godalming, we were out numbered with Godalming taking the first 4 places. PDAC juniors, having never competed as a team before and most experiencing Marsh Farm for the first time, found the conditions and fishing very hard, although some did manage to land some first time species. PDAC were up against some experienced young Godalming anglers and home advantage was also very evident.
Andy Read, the spokesman for the PDAC Development team, commended the efforts of both teams. He acknowledged that the day was tough and challenging for everyone, but expressed hope that the club representatives enjoyed it despite the conditions.
Godalming Juniors had the win on the day and the final points scored were 34-46, the final individual standings were:

While our juniors were representing the PDAC as a team, individual scores and rankings were also crucial because this match was the second round of the PDAC JCC Junior League, where everything is still up for grabs. The results and points awarded were:

The next event is the JCC Junior Open, Saturday 28th June at Nyewood ponds, this will also be the third in the series of the JCC Junior League for the PDAC juniors.
PDAC junior members are invited to participate in any league events. Everything is still available, so come and connect with others while enhancing your fishing skills. All skill levels are welcome.
