Thirteen young anglers representing various clubs had to work extremely hard for bites as downpours, high winds and the occasional sunshine had made it very difficult for most.
Jack Cleland-Smith (Pulborough) showed great skills catching Carp on corn & maggot cocktail to weigh in with 50+lb to take top honours in the 8-12 age group.
Regular attendee Archie Mann (Portsmouth), previous winner of the 8-12 age group in 2022 finished strongly to claim top spot in the 13-16 age group.
PDAC representatives also had put in sterling performances, five of which, had never experienced match fishing before, once the Carp had finally moved in and bites became more regularly, Henry Johns and the Hales siblings (Jack & Luke) had put in great challenges late on in the 8-12 section.

Junior Inter-Club Match.
The next event for our juniors will be next Saturday at Marsh Farm with the Inter-club team participation event.
The draw is scheduled for 8:45am, fish 9:30-12:30
