Another successful event hosted by the PDAC Development Programme.

Get Fishing at Nyewood Ponds – A Great Day for All

Yesterday, Saturday 13th June, we held the first of three Get Fishing events scheduled for this year at Nyewood Ponds. The event was hosted by the PDAC Development Programme, an initiative of Petersfield & District Angling Club aimed at introducing more people to the enjoyment of angling and supporting its growth within the local community with over 70 in attendance.

The day was a tremendous success, with families enjoying plenty of fishing action while learning new skills from our dedicated team of coaches. It was fantastic to see so many participants catching fish, gaining confidence, and sharing in the enjoyment that angling brings.

We were fortunate with the weather, which helped create ideal conditions for what proved to be a highly enjoyable and rewarding event.

A special mention should also go to Ian Jennings, who ran a second-hand tackle stand during the day. Funds raised from these sales will be reinvested into the Club's Development Programme, helping us to continue providing these free events and supporting the promotion of angling within our community.

Most importantly, thank you to all the families who attended. Your enthusiasm and participation are what make these events so worthwhile, and we hope everyone left having learned something new and enjoyed a memorable day by the water.

Our next Get Fishing event will take place on 25th July, and we look forward to welcoming both returning and new participants.
