Catch reports 07/11/26

Just thought I'd share a few pic's.

Near the end of the summer holidays I took my boy's "Matthew & Luke" for their first night fishing trip on Harting Coombe, and they were really hoping to catch their first Tench!

They had  a lovely evening of catching decent sized Roach, Rudd and Bream on the Float. Then when darkness fell They had a couple of hours watching the magical glow of Starlights bobbing on the surface. We brought the Rods in for the night, and awoke early to continue the quest for Tench.

Thankfully they were rewarded as the Tench decided to have an early morning feed as mist rolled across the Lake.

They caught 3 between them and went home very happy and tired.

Then 2 weeks ago we went for our next mission of trying to catch their first Pike. Again the venue was Harting Coombe, and we opted for the disabled swim as it provided plenty of cover for Pike, and is also the end of the Lake that see's the most bait for Silvers.

I wasn't sure how many, or what size Pike were in there? But we had a cracking morning's fishing catching 3 and losing a couple to hookpulls.

Joey Mackerel float fished off the bottom proved favourite, and although not the biggest Pike, but they put the biggest smile on the boy's faces.

Jamie.
