Members are reminded that Bopeep is still closed as improvements to the swims and parking area continue. We are on track to reopen in early May, although a significant amount of work remains. Additional help from members with some manual tasks will ensure this timeline is met. Please check for updates and confirmed dates for planned work parties.
The committee would like to inform members that with the arrival of warmer weather, Bopeep has experienced some poaching. If you see anyone fishing or attempting to fish the pond, please contact the club immediately. We have CCTV on site, but it only collects information to pass to the Rural Police. Additional details, such as vehicle registrations, are crucial for the police to link the vehicle to a registered driver. All information provided will be extremely helpful. Last weekend's poaching incident involving two individuals aged 18-25 has been reported to the Rural Police. Further reports will highlight the theft of fishing rights and potentially fishing without a rod license, prompting police visits to the pond.
All information will be appreciated, and stopping these unwanted visits will protect our pond and preserve its stock for members' use.
PDAC Committee.
