reminding members of the statutory coarse fish close season starts on 15th March and runs through to 15th June (both dates inclusive).
Environment Agency officers and Angling Trust volunteer bailiffs will be increasing their patrols on rivers over the next three months as part of their annual Operation CLAMPDOWN, to deter and detect illegal activity. If you see anyone fishing during the close season or see any other fishing offence, please call 0800 80 70 60.
