The first round of the JCC Junior League was held at Nyewood Ponds on Sunday, 17th May.
All participants succeeded in weighing in, although the Carp were unresponsive, with only two caught by Luke Hales and Oscar Jones. Throughout the event, all juniors aimed for silvers to secure points for the series.
Luke Hales secured first place with one Carp and a substantial collection of silvers totalling 14.15. Zac Reed, the current PDAC Junior Open champion, put in a strong effort for 06.03, and newcomer Oscar Jones placed third with one Carp and silvers totalling 05.05.
This year, was the addition of the "Dawn Pulley Cup", this prize is for the best Specimen fish caught during the JCC League Series. Sunday's nomination was a Golden Rudd caught by Joseph Jones. To determine the winner will be judged by the Development team at the end of the series.
