The JCC Junior League began on Saturday, 31st May, with the first match of the series taking place at Nyewood top pond. Conditions were favorable, but fishing proved challenging for everyone. Most anglers chose to target the silvers since the Carp were not cooperating. However, Patryk Barzyck managed to catch a small Carp along with a few silvers, securing the top spot and an early lead in the series.
PDAC junior regulars Luke Hales and Emily Hankin competed closely for the lead, finishing in second and third place, respectively.

All points have been awarded, and these, along with the weights, will be accumulated throughout the season as the junior anglers compete for the Masters and Aggregate trophies, sponsored by JCC Lighting. The next event in the series is an inter-club match against Godalming juniors, taking place on Saturday, 21st June at Marsh Farm. This will be a team event, but individual weights and positions will also count towards the JCC series. There's still much to fish for, with fantastic prizes available, and it's not too late to participate. Any PDAC junior interested in entering can click the button below to book any event. We recommend members who wish to fish the match at Marsh Farm arrive for the draw by 8:30 am (keepnets will be supplied by GAS, please provide your own bank sticks). Members of all abilities are welcome.
