As part of the committee's ongoing commitment to enhancing angling opportunities within our waters, we have initiated a comprehensive five-year stocking programme aimed at revitalising the fish populations in Harting Combe. In this latest effort, we have introduced a small but significant number of Carp into the water, all of which were supplied by VS Fisheries, a reputable provider known for their quality fish stock. The Carp introduced recently range in weight from 8 to 9 pounds.

This recent introduction marks the third batch of fish that has been released into the PDAC waters during this winter season. Previously, Nyewood Top Pond was enhanced with the addition of 500 Tench and Chub, further providing our members with a broader range of fishing experiences. The strategic planning of these stocking initiatives demonstrates our commitment to enhancing fish populations and the recreational experiences of our members, while ensuring the biomass of each venue remains intact.

Looking ahead, we are optimistic about the future growth of the new Carp in Harting Combe. VS Carp are particularly noted for their robust growth rates and resilience, making them an ideal choice for our waters.

As these Carp acclimate to their new environment, we anticipate that they will thrive and become sought-after target fish among our members.
