The Petersfield & District Angling Club (PDAC) Development Programme is actively seeking volunteers to support its 2026 events and community outreach. As a volunteer-led non-profit, PDAC relies on members and the community to run their educational and youth-focused initiatives.
Current Volunteering Opportunities
The club requires help across various functions to ensure the smooth running of its 2026 season:
Event Support & Coaching: Assisting with "Get Fishing" outreach campaigns and teach-in sessions.
Operational Roles: Acting as bank runners, fish-care assistants, and providing administrative support or check-in services.
Maintenance "Work Parties": Helping with swim repairs, vegetation control, and venue improvements at locations like Bopeep Pond and Nyewood Ponds.
Committee Positions: Several Ordinary Committee Member roles are available for those who want to help manage the club's future.
Key Upcoming Events
JCC Junior League & Open: Preparing for matches at venues including Nyewood Bottom Pond, Marsh Farm, Springbok, and Billy's Lake.
Get Fishing Events: Complimentary fishing experiences for the community.
Work Party: A scheduled event at Bopeep Pond on Saturday, 11th April, starting at 9:00 am (focused on soil movement and site preparation).
